well.
it HAS been awhile :).
and yet here i am, only a few lines on from where i left off!

this year i have strived to be a teacher.
i've had ups and downs:
my biggest challenge is to suddenly discover that sometimes some people (insert teenagers) don't like listening to me and i have struggled with this concept. why don't they like listening to me? i've never had to deal with this in the past.

my biggest positive was to have other parents tell me that their child comes home each day and wants to repeat, word for word, stories i have told them in class. that made me smile.

in other life stories:
we have a kitten now. her name is phoenix.
we no longer live out of suitcases (i was up to four years and counting).
it means we can have people over for dinner.
so we do.

on the archaeological front:
i miss it.
a lot. and still see myself as an undercover archaeologist posing as a teacher and just waiting for the next opportunity.
